The Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute needed an exhibit format to present traditional Chinese medicine culture in a more visual and accessible way. The installation featured physical miniatures of a Chinese Herbal Shop and a Bone Setting Clinic, supported by holographic animation and spatial storytelling.
The project needed to explain cultural and medical knowledge without relying only on text panels. The content had to show historical setting, daily practice, tools, treatment methods, and atmosphere while remaining easy for visitors to understand within a compact exhibit space.
We developed the concept, storyboard, 3D modeling, animation, and miniature production. The Chinese Herbal Shop was inspired by Sheung Wan Ko Shing Street, while the Bone Setting Clinic recreated clinic environments and treatment scenes. Hologram visuals were layered with handcrafted miniature details.
The installation combined physical craftsmanship with digital hologram visuals to make traditional Chinese medicine more tangible. Visitors could understand cultural context, medical practice, and historical atmosphere through layered display, miniature scenes, and animated visual explanation.
