Casio marked the 20th anniversary of G-SHOCK MR-G with an event display featuring multiple watch models. Since the complete product series was not physically available at the venue, the hologram system had to present the missing models digitally while maintaining the premium visual character of the MR-G collection.
This was our first double-layer hologram system. The background video, holographic watches, and foreground graphics had to remain precisely synchronized while appearing at separate visual depths. The background naturally produced stronger brightness, so contrast, opacity, colour, and timing required repeated adjustment to prevent the virtual watches from becoming visually overwhelmed.
We designed and fabricated a custom hologram enclosure, then adapted Casio’s official promotional video into separate synchronized visual planes. The content combined a background screen with two holographic layers for the watches and foreground graphics. Each sequence was tested and recalibrated to balance brightness, depth, motion, and readability before the completed system was installed at the event.
The final display allowed Casio to present a wider MR-G collection without requiring every physical watch at the venue. Synchronized content across multiple depths created a dimensional product showcase, combining the official campaign imagery with a more spatial and dynamic viewing experience.
