Context

Yue Man Square hosted a 2024 Chinese New Year event in Kwun Tong with a 9-Water-Dragons theme. The facade projection added a festive visual layer to the building facing the main street.

Challenge

The projection needed to create an immediate Chinese New Year atmosphere at urban scale. The content had to work on a large building facade, remain visible from the street, and support the event theme as part of a wider lighting decoration.

Approach

We developed projection content based on the 9-Water-Dragons theme, using motion, light, and facade-scale composition to create a festive visual sequence. The design was planned to enhance the building surface and attract visitors from the main street.

Impact

The projection transformed the building facade into a large festive landmark for the event. Visitors could experience the Chinese New Year atmosphere through animated dragon visuals, lighting, and public-facing projection in the heart of Kwun Tong.
