Context

The Hong Kong Science Museum presented the Science Fiction exhibition from December 2023. One of its interactive experiences invited visitors to customize futuristic transportation, homes, and superheroes through a series of digital game stations.

Challenge

The experience needed to make futuristic item customization simple and engaging for visitors of different ages. It also had to combine colour selection, selfie capture, large-screen animation, and QR-code saving within a clear and continuous visitor journey.

Approah

Working with the agency, we developed the character design, UX/UI, and game system. Visitors selected a category, customized colours, and added their selfie. Their completed design was then animated within the futuristic city and displayed on the large wall screen.

Impact

The installation turned individual visitor input into a shared exhibition experience. Families could see their creations appear within the animated city, photograph the outcome, and save their personalized image by scanning a QR code.
